eBook
Clergy & Laity Discipleship

Reverend Iosmar Alvarez created this book to teach church planting leaders how to plant new, healthy, vital, and vibrant churches with multiplication DNA. Using scripture-grounded values, principles, and the author's own testimony, this book will help reach both new and diverse Hispanic/Latino people, as well as other cultures and contexts.

Dr. Iosmar alvarez, a Cuban native, is a veterinarian doctor by profession graduated from the Universidad de Ciencia Agropecuarias de la Habana, Cuba. Presently, he is an elder of the Fuente de Avivamiento United Methodist Church, and the senior pastor of the English-speaking mother church, Hope Springs, in Lexington, KY. In his church, he has trained hundreds of leaders and has developed more than sixty small groups, or ""Antorchas"" (torches/lamps), with multiplication DNA, some of which overlap district lines. Dr. alvarez not only dedicates his time to prepare and support his leaders in his local church, but he has also shared his successful experience of planting prosperous churches and the training of leaders with different annual conferences and jurisdictions in the United Methodist context. Dr. alvarez acquired his seminary bachelor's degree from Garret Theological Seminary in Chicago, a master's degree in Theology from the United Theological Seminary in Ohio. Presently, he is studying for a second master's degree in Christian Leadership, in Lindey Wilson College, Kentucky.
