In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls his followers to become peacemakers, saying, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matt. 5:9). Peacemaking is hard work, and becoming a peacemaker is a process.
This 6-session module helps children understand that God loves us all unconditionally and that our ability to understand God’s love and acceptance of us just as we are brings inner peace. Sessions include: Receiving the Gift of God’s Peace, Listening Carefully, Sharing with God Your Anger, The Courage to Forgive, Saying “I’m Sorry,” and Living Courageously as a Peacemaker. The document includes reproducible pages to be used in reflection stations.
NOTE: This module is designed to supplement the 8 modules found in The Way of the Child Leader’s Guide by Wynn McGregor. The original Leader’s Guide contains information you need to understand The Way of the Child program and how to lead sessions. If you do not have The Way of the Child Leader’s Guide, we strongly recommend that you purchase it and become familiar with it before using this module.
